Mussel Survey for a Proposed Barge Fleeting Area
Mainstream was contracted by a river terminal facility to conduct a mussel survey on the Tennessee River as part of a proposed barge fleeting area.
During the survey, 16,534 live mussels from 26 unionid species were encountered. Eighty-three individuals of federally proposed threatened species and 16 federally endangered species were identified during the survey.
