Outfall Diffuser Installation at an Industrial Facility on the Mississippi River

Mainstream performed all of the diving work that consisted of installing an outfall diffuser and the underwater portion of piping at an industrial facility on the Mississippi River.
The project consisted of a five man dive crew, MER Diving sectional barges, and a MER Diving crane to excavate an underwater trench and install approximately 170’ of 10” diameter HDPE piping and an approximately 28’ long diffuser. MER Diving crews excavated a trench to place the piping and anchors, backfill, and place new Class III channel lining over the backfill working from sectional barges.
