Installation of a Treated Effluent Discharge Pipe at an Industrial Facility
Mainstream was hired as a general contractor for the installation of an outfall line and diffuser on the Tennessee River. The project spanned several years and included many different tasks performed and overseen by MER Diving including a mussel and habitat survey, biological assessment, bathymetric soundings, permit procurement, subsurface exploration (geotechnical vertical borings), HDD and pipe design, and finally the HDD installation of the effluent line and diffuser installation.
